Description

Simply a two-can deep shelf with a fiddle edge, recessed along the back of a shelf in the forward storage cabinet. Simple.

WHY

The forward cabinet opposite the sink consists of 3 spacious shelves. Only three steps from the galley, low and close to waterline it’s a cool spot and has so become our pantry. The space offered by the deep high shelves could be more optimally utilised though. In a house, stacking tins is easy, on a boat not so much when they topple over, “Beware opening after a passage as stacked cans will definitely have shifted”

PROS

  • Store more smaller items like small jars or tins.
  • Easy to see your provisions
  • Easy to get to and replace items
  • Easy to make

CONS

None

WOULD WE DO AGAIN

Of course. Love this little shelf!
