Nice to meet you !
We’re In search of adventure and cultural experiences as we sail across oceans and around the world.
After over 30 years in the corporate world, we decided to turn our backs on lineal careers and jump! We bought a boat, sold our house and cut loose from most of our possessions. Choosing simplicity and more autonomy instead.
Above all, we’re following this non-standard route in search of a different way of life that’s slower, closer to nature and as responsible as can be.
Through our blog, you’ll hear more stories about how we do it and how we live! Our aim is to share our experiences and encourage you to work towards any goal or dream you’re aiming for!
Taking time, travelling slow, experiencing the journey.
A Peek at TALATA
After sailing the very first Neel 45 in 2012, we knew this was the boat for us.
Two years later, after crossing the Atlantic Ocean on hull number 10, we were convinced.
Consequently, when Neel launched the 47′ in 2019, we knew we’d found the perfect blue water sailing multihull for our needs: performance and comfort for a longterm cruising couple.
Our boat is named TALATA. She’s a Neel 47 Trimaran launched in November 2019 (hull 9).
Length | 14.20 m |
Beam | 8.30 m |
Draught | 1.8 m |
Weight | 10.4 mt |
Cabins | 3 |
She’s designed by Marc Lombard and built by NEEL Trimarans in La Rochelle, France. If you’d like to know more, take a look at www.neel-trimarans.com

10 Reasons to Sail Albania

6 Beautiful Anchorages in Albania
Butrint Bay This one is not in any pilot book nor on Navily App. It is our favourite and we returned here several times. Only 9NM from Saranda or 3.5 NM from Ksamil...

The turn off from the SS125 is easy to miss. It’s a small dirt road turning right with a sign pointing to Tomba di Gigante. Within a few minutes you’re immersed in...
What we chose …
OC Tender 300 Carbon
Our rigid tender has been getting alot of attention wherever we go. Coming in at just 38 kg, this rigid tender is considerably lighter than the standard inflatable and offers more space than a comparably sized one. You get a bit scared near rocks (ouch!) but with those wheels we can easily drag her over them.
Carbon Mast
On the Neel 47, a carbon mast provides more height with an extra 8m2 of sail area and 3 reefs for the main. In addition to the weight-saving gains of a carbon mast, the rigidity means the staysail can be removed competely.
Ultra 35 Anchor
When light isn’t right. With our 35 kg anchor we’re happy to be heavy, making weight gain on our 8mm stainless chain instead. The Ultra anchor is amazingawsomefantastic and truly surpasses all the hype. We arrive, drop her, she rolls over, digs in and goes to bed. Good night.
Copper Coat
Your boat’s bottom needs an antifoul to protect algae and barnacle growth. Its mostly toxic stuff. We have coppercoat which is less harmful to the marine environment and lasts up to 10 years when applied properly.
Snapshots
Special places, people and moments along the way.
Yes, the world can be an ugly place. But we also believe there’s beauty everywhere. For now, we’re going to focus on that.
Also we hope to inspire and encourage you to travel with purpose and go off the well-trodden path. Most importantly, to find those special moments where you breathe in the local spirit, whether quiet and stirring or loud and disturbing.
So lean back and gaze at our perspective of some favourite places.
